Hello! My name is Abby Carlson. I am a 27 year old nurse in Chicago, IL. I have been a registered nurse for 5 years now. In my first year of nursing I had the incredible opportunity to join a Nonprofit Organization called Operation International (OI). OI provides free surgical & medical care to patients, trains local medical professionals, improves hospital infrastructures, & provides shelter and education to orphans. This year, Team Chicago is preparing for our 6th mission trip where we will be going to Tanzania for a week to provide free surgical care for as many people as we can. In order to do this, we must raise funds by hosting a fundraising gala. Our Gala is going to be Saturday, March 21st at Chicago Theater Works. This organization is truly near & dear to my heart. I would love for more people to know about it & help more underserved communities have access to the life changing surgeries we can provide.
