I’m Alexie, a 22 year old salon owner and full time hair stylist based in San Carlos, California. I opened Gloss & Co Salon at a young age and now lead a team of six while still working behind the chair every day.

I also create content and work directly with businesses and PR partners, helping brands connect with real people in real life. I love working with brands that align with beauty, wellness, and the everyday routines of service based professionals, especially in ways that feel organic and honest.

I’m dyslexic, and instead of letting that hold me back, I’ve learned how to use it as one of my biggest strengths. I rely heavily on creativity, visual thinking, intuition, and strong communication, which has helped me build my business, connect with people, and problem solve in ways that work for me. I use this daily in my work, my content, and how I lead my team.

My journey as a young business owner has been shared locally, including being featured in the San Mateo Daily Journal, highlighting my path, work ethic, and the community I’ve built through my salon.

Through my salon, my content, and my podcast Color & Chaos, I share the real behind the scenes of the beauty industry, long workdays, business ownership, and learning how to balance passion, wellness, and growth at a young age.
