Amina Peterson is the founder of The Amina Institute for Embodiment & Healing and a pioneering authority in spiritualized somatic sexology. Featured on Netflix's "Sex, Love & goop" and in major publications including Cosmopolitan and Glamour, Amina has been at the forefront of revolutionizing sexuality education since 1997.
As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, certified Life Coach, and 200-hour Yoga Teacher, she serves on the board of directors for the American Association of Somatic Sexologists (AASS). Amina's groundbreaking work centers Black women and their pleasure while integrating trauma-informed, culturally conscious methodologies into comprehensive certification programs for sexuality professionals.
Through The Amina Institute, she offers transformative programs including EroSomatic Touch, Sex Doula certification, and Somatic Sex Coach training, serving students globally from her bases in Atlanta, GA and Panama City, Panama. Her approach uniquely spiritualizes somatic sexology with an abolitionist lens, positioning pleasure as both revolutionary and healing.
