About the Hermosa Beach Education Foundation (HBEF)
The Hermosa Beach Education Foundation (HBEF) is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing sustainable, private funding for the Hermosa Beach City School District (HBCSD).

Because California ranks near the bottom in the nation for per-pupil funding, state dollars only cover the bare essentials. HBEF bridges that gap. Through community-wide fundraising and corporate partnerships, the Foundation provides an annual grant that ensures our 1,400+ students receive a world-class education that the state budget alone cannot provide.

When you donate items to the Strand Classic, you aren't just giving away product; you are reducing the event’s operational costs. This allows HBEF to ensure that 100% of the funds raised from registration and sponsorships go directly into the classrooms of Hermosa Beach.
