The Black Scranton Project is an arts, culture, and public history organization rooted in community, storytelling, and creative expression.

Founded by Glynis Johns, BSP serves as a living archive and cultural hub in Northeastern Pennsylvania—bringing people together through exhibitions, events, and programming that center Black history and contemporary creativity.

From large-scale celebrations like our Juneteenth Jubilee Block Party to year-round community programming, our work is about creating spaces where people feel seen, connected, and inspired.
