How the Change Movement Started

The Change Movement was born from a simple belief: when we serve others, God changes us too.

In 2021, while serving the unhoused community through CHOSIN Ministries, I saw many organizations, churches, and volunteers doing great work, but often working separately. God placed a vision on my heart to bring everyone together as one body with one purpose to love, serve, and meet the needs of our unhoused neighbors.

What began as a small gathering of outreach groups grew into an annual community event where ministries, nonprofits, businesses, healthcare providers, barbers, pet organizations, and volunteers unite to provide food, clothing, hygiene supplies, showers, haircuts, medical resources, pet care, prayer, and hope.

The Change Movement is not about changing the people we serve. It's about allowing God to change us. When we step outside our comfort zones, break down barriers, and serve others with compassion, our hearts are transformed.

Today, the Change Movement continues to bring people together across Oklahoma City to demonstrate that real change happens when a community comes together in love, dignity, and service. We are stronger when we work together than when we work alone.
