I serve as a volunteer leader with the Irreverent Warriors Chicago Chapter, organizing the 2026 Chicago Silkies Hike along Chicago’s lakefront on June 27, 2026.
Our mission is to improve mental health and prevent veteran suicide by bringing together veterans, active duty service members, National Guard, and Reservists through camaraderie and community-based events.
The Chicago Silkies Hike is a free, veteran-only event, and we are actively seeking community partners and sponsors to support hydration, safety, and logistics for 200+ participants.
