For over five years I carried this idea quietly. A space for women to gather. A place to feel seen. A community that actually felt like home. But I kept it to myself — waiting for the right time, the right moment, the right version of myself that felt ready.

The truth is I was lost.

Somewhere between motherhood, work, and pouring into everyone around me I had completely lost myself. I was present in my life but absent from it at the same time. Social anxiety kept me small. Avoidance kept me comfortable. And the loneliness I felt — even in rooms full of people — kept me silent about the one thing I knew I was meant to build.

So for five years I waited.

Until one morning I stopped waiting and just posted.

Within hours 60 women from across the DMV said yes to something I had not even fully built yet. And in that moment I realized — I was not the only one who needed this. I was just the one who finally said something.

Casa Roots is everything I needed and could not find. It is the soft place I was looking for on my hardest days. It is the community I craved when I felt most alone. It is proof that the things we build from our own wounds are the things that heal others too.
