I’m Codie — a mom, holistic health coach, wellness-focused content creator, and beginner surfer based in Southern California.
I started learning to surf in my mid-30s as part of my postpartum healing — not to be good at it, but to feel like myself again. Surfing became a practice in presence. In the water, there’s no multitasking and no mental noise — just breath, movement, and the moment you’re in.
That experience led me to create Moms Who Kinda Surf™ (MWKS) — a community and event series designed for moms who are curious, brand-new, or simply craving movement and connection without pressure.
Today, MWKS hosts beginner-friendly ocean and dry-land experiences inspired by surf culture, wellness, and play. Through real-life gatherings and storytelling, I bring together community and aligned brand partners in a way that feels grounded, intentional, and deeply human.
I’m also a YETI Carlsbad Community Guide, partnering with YETI to host events and create content rooted in outdoor living, wellness, and real-world connection.
