My name is Maame , I am a GP resident and content creator. I make videos about health , wellness and self development. After the death of my parents , going through an illness myself and witnessing failures within the NHS - I have made it my life’s mission to create content and spaces that empower individuals about their health and wellness - this includes giving medical tips, creating awareness around certain conditions - cancer, fertility, reproductive disorders , mental health - the list goes on. I create them specifically for underserved groups who I find are usually ignorant to their health rights and needs. I am also in the process of launching a women’s health/wellness initiative - hosting events, collaborating with leading brands , campaigning for national change to change the way conditions like PCOS, fibroids , endometriosis and fertility is managed. 1 in 3 women now have PCOS yet it’s a condition that doctors have no clue on how to treat. PCOS leads to irregular periods, weight gain , acne/hyperpigmentation and infertility. A debilitating condition that affects everything about a woman’s life. When I was going through my flare - the topicals products helped my acne/hyperpigmentation , wellness and lifestyle changes helped me reverse my symptoms and I want to use my platform and voice to empower women to do the same.
