My name is Eileen Marshall, and I am a student at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. I am thrilled to share a project that has been close to my heart: This Is Not A Game, a multimedia dance film that reimagines how movement and video game aesthetics intersect to blur the line between fantasy and reality.

I'm reaching out because we are looking for sponsors to support our women-led dance production. We would love the chance to offer our cast and crew liquid death on set.

With our team of passionate dancers and film students, we are embarking on an ambitious journey to explore themes of autonomy, control, and escape in a surreal, immersive alternate reality.


About the Project

At some point, we’ve all encountered a video game, whether it’s the classic simplicity of Pac-Man or the thrill of Mario Kart. These digital worlds have served as portals to alternate realities, offering an escape limited only by our imaginations. But what happens when these escapes feel too real? What if the boundaries between reality and fantasy begin to dissolve?


This Is Not A Game takes viewers on a journey through these questions. Through dynamic movement and engaging video game-inspired visuals, we aim to create a surreal alternate reality. Dance becomes a metaphor for the human fight to regain control, while captivating visuals evoke the shifting mechanics of video games and the fluidity of virtual environments.
