Eileen is a rare disease advocate working at the intersection of health, design, and community. Growing up with a rare skin-liver disease, she transformed what once felt like difference into purpose, using her lived experience to create spaces where others can feel seen, celebrated, and connected. She founded SKINRARE Magazine, a platform dedicated to uplifting the rare skin disease community through storytelling and self-expression. From leading support groups and confidence workshops with the Foundation for Ichthyosis & Related Skin Types, to hosting in-person events and speaking with young South Asian girls about navigating life with a rare condition, her work is rooted in intention and impact. She has also collaborated with the Rare Beauty Mental Health Impact Team, Cetaphil, and Aquaphor. Eileen is passionate about bridging creativity and medicine to reimagine how patients experience care. To her, when there is no physical cure, creativity becomes a powerful form of healing. Fun fact: She was one of five students from across the U.S. to receive Neutrogena’s Faces of the Future Award, which was presented as a surprise by actress Jenna Ortega.
