This 2024/25 season, I’m excited to present a documentary first, a new series going behind the scenes with some remarkable UK ski racers as they do whatever it takes to reach the peak of their sport. Join me as we explore their challenges, triumphs, and the incredible dedication it takes to excel as an elite ski racer. It won’t always be pretty but it always be exhilarating. As an ex-ski racer, I know just how to get the most compelling content out of racers. New videos will drop 4 times a week throughout the 8-month season, offering viewers an up-close and personal look at the lives of some of the most talented racers in the UK.
In 2022, UK Sport's decision to drastically cut funding for the Alpine World Cup programme dealt a severe blow to the athletes, management, and team. Fans of the British Alpine Ski Team were left baffled, especially after the most successful season in history, with a first-ever World Cup win and six athletes earning World Cup points.
Despite the cuts, as a result of highly driven commitment, British skiing is excelling and this series will be a clarion call for more to get involved and for more people to back the sport.
By raising awareness I hope to attract sponsors or individuals who want to support this thrilling sport.
