My name is LeeAnna Romero. I am the Executive Director of a 501c rescue called “Heart in Hand, Critters Hollow” in Stewart TN. Each year we host a music festival to help raise money for our rescues and fosters. The money we raise helps us with vet bills for spaying and neutering, vaccines, food, and much more. Stewart county does not have an animal shelter, in a heavily animal populated county, all rescue/foster efforts are put forth by private citizens who choose to help make a difference one animal at a time. Our mission is that our organization ensures each animal under our care is spayed or neutered to help with the over population of unwanted animals, is up to date on vaccinations, is tested and treated for heartworms, and begins training in basic commands. We screen eligible applicants for each adoptee and match them up with families best suited for their energy, temperament, and abilities. We operate solely on donations, sponsors and volunteers! 100% of all donations are used directly for the care of our rescue.
So…each year we invite roots, folk, bluegrass and country artists to help us put on a music festival by performing which helps us raise money for the upcoming year.
