Montgomery Community College (MCC) serves a diverse student population in rural Montgomery County, North Carolina, where many students come from low-income, first-generation, and underserved backgrounds. For our students, college is more than a place to earn a degree; it is a place to build connections, access resources, discover new opportunities, and experience things that may not otherwise be readily available in our community.

My name is Hollie Ritter, and I serve as a Counselor at MCC, where I coordinate student support initiatives and plan campus events focused on wellness, student success, career readiness, basic needs, cultural awareness, and community building. I love creating experiences that make students want to stop, participate, connect with one another, and engage with the resources available to them. Because we are a small rural college, I am able to be intentional about how donated products are incorporated into our events rather than simply handing out samples.

Brand partnerships help us give students access to products, experiences, and brands they may not otherwise encounter. Whether a product is featured at a wellness event, hydration bar, career event, cultural celebration, student success activity, or stocked in our student resource area, we work to put donations directly into the hands of students in a meaningful way.

When brands support MCC, they are reaching a population that can often be overlooked by traditional college marketing and large-campus campaigns. A partnership with us demonstrates a commitment to rural communities, diverse and underserved populations, educational access, and student wellbeing. We are incredibly appreciative of the brands that invest in our students, and whenever possible, we enjoy recognizing and showcasing the companies that help us create these experiences.
