The iRise Above Foundation (www.iriseabovefoundation.org) is an organization dedicated to empowering women in their 20s, 30s, and 40s to heal, live well, and craft their own thriving story after breast cancer. Until recently, age-appropriate resources for this group were limited, leaving many women feeling unsupported and overwhelmed when they needed hope and guidance most. Founded in 2017 by Gillian Lichota—who was diagnosed with breast cancer while pregnant—iRise Above offers targeted, integrative, and wellness-focused programs that support young women across the US and Canada in regaining control of their health during and after treatment.
