Hi!

My name is Jacqueline. After going through the lung transplant process with my mom, I realized the burden associated with those who have to travel to access healthcare. Transplants and other forms of care require many - especially in Canada - to relocate for months in order to receive this life saving treatment - without any financial support from a "free" healthcare system. This results inequitable access as you can receive care easily if you live where the services are centralized but must experience tremendous burden if not.

I joined efforts with the BC Rural Health Network, eager to partner on this topic and other issues relating to access for care for British Columbians. This non-partisan network is small and needs financial support right now to keep the good work goin' thus I have started this page in an attempt to build a wonderfully curated online auction to raise funds.
