Next year I am running 230km through the Amazon Rainforest in Peru, to raise money for my mother, who has Multiple Sclerosis. Over the next 8 months, I will be creating content and documenting my training, lifestyle and public fundraisers on my social media profiles to both raise awareness and funds for my chosen charities.
My mother's condition has left her unable to move from the neck down since I was 1 year old. Having seen my mother's battle with MS, it opened my eyes to how many of us take our opportunity to move for granted. This is why I signed up for the Jungle Ultra, to put myself through one of the world's most physically demanding races (only a 15% completion rate in 2023) as a testament to those struggling with mobility and to hopefully inspire others to find and tackle there mountain, not taking movement for granted.
As you can imagine, the training for this will be both long but also interesting as I will be part of a University Study at Wolverhampton University in Spring next year, during the peak block of my training. I also hope to be able to convey the above message through my content whilst documenting my training. Alongside this, recovery and lifestyle will be a key component. I already use your hydration tablets before, during, and after my sessions and would be privileged to partner with you throughout and hopefully beyond this journey. I hope my story has resonated with you and I would be honoured to answer any questions you may have.
