My name is Jay Wheeler, known online as JayOkayDrums. I am a California based drummer, private educator, and digital cinematographer with a growing audience of over 29.5k across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube with Instagram being my largest platform.



While my foundation is drumming, my brand extends beyond music. I use comedy, storytelling, and cinematography to build an authentic connection with my community. One of my most popular series is Drum Ick, a comedic and educational mini series that humorously calls out bad drumming habits in a way that is relatable and shareable. It is content that resonates with both players and non-players and often sparks conversation across creative communities.



I perform with two bands, Unlikely and Whitewolf, and I bring a unique visual approach to everything I do, whether that is producing short form videos, music content, or documentary style reels that highlight the culture behind the craft. My goal is to blend entertainment and inspiration while showcasing the lifestyle and mindset of artists who push boundaries.
