Hello!

My name is Kristin and I’m the Executive Director of Vanlife Pride. Vanlife Pride is an LGBTQ+ organization the creates community through nature. We believe the outdoors is for everyone and host events from 10 to 450+ people out in nature.

I came out later in life, and through a difficult journey, queer community saved my life. This is why I am so passionate about Vanlife Pride - community is so important! Vanlife Pride originally started as just an Instagram account to create LGBTQ+ visibility within the nomadic community. Since taking over Vanlife Pride, I have implemented several events - including our Pride in the Desert, Pride in the Forest, Camp Pride, and our Weekend Camp Out series with Hipcamp.

Our events range from small, intimate, and niched - such as our QBIPOC meetups; to our largest event - Pride in the Desert, which is free and open to the LGBTQ+ community and allies.

We hope to continue to connect folks together through nature - after all, nature is queer. 🌿🍄
