Founded in 1986 at California State University, Sacramento in California, LSG is the nation’s first multicultural sorority on the West coast and is built on the pillars of academics, multiculturalism, sisterhood, community service and professionalism. The organization is committed to cultivating resilient leaders to empower women to be role models in their communities and inspire and advocate all members to engage in lifelong membership. LSG celebrates diversity, welcoming women of all backgrounds, including various races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and beliefs.
