I'm Madeleine, Assistant Manager at Laughing Buddha Tattoo and Piercing in Seattle, Washington. As we prepare for the summer and our upcoming tattoo expos, open houses, and national piercing events, we would love to continue promoting local businesses and inquire about receiving more information about a possible partnership.

Since 1996, Laughing Buddha has been an integral part of Capitol Hill's vibrant arts and queer culture scene, offering high-end tattoos, piercings, and jewelry in a safe and clean environment. As we approach our 30th year in business, we are grateful to thrive in a city that continues to evolve. At Laughing Buddha, our commitment extends beyond artistic expression; we want to do more. Our goal in 2024 is to contribute to the community by focusing on two key objectives:

Education for All
We are dedicated to providing more educational resources for our community. Leveraging the expertise of our internationally recognized piercers, we aim to offer insights into gender-affirming services and provide a unique perspective on the world of handmade, high-end jewelry. Our piercers feel strongly about accessibility in the industry and look forward to collaborating with different local organizations and businesses to make identity-affirming services more accessible to the Seattle area. Our passionate tattoo artists are eager to share their experiences and art methods. We aspire to join local events, connecting with our vibrant neighborhood to share knowledge and raise awareness of our services. Educational initiatives may include career fairs, school events, and charity auctions.

Creating a Safe Space
Founded as a female-owned establishment, our facility has evolved to have a predominantly queer, femme, and transgender staff, reshaping a historically male-dominated industry. We take pride in providing a safe and welcoming environment for our diverse clientele, serving a high volume of queer, gay, and transgender community members.

Our first ever open house event will be August 25th from 11am to 9pm. We'd love to hand out packaged food, drinks, and prints from as many local artists as possible. Please let us know if you are interested!
