Louisa
Louisa Lindgren is the Project & Development Manager for Nantucket Community Sailing (NCS). No two days at NCS are ever the same! Her role spans both the creative and technical sides of the organization, managing development initiatives, technology systems, and communications projects that help NCS run efficiently year-round. She oversees tools such as the donor database, website, and online store, and creates fundraising materials and event resources for programs including Nantucket Race Week. Louisa enjoys the variety and collaboration her work brings, helping connect the community to sailing in new and engaging ways.
A lifelong sailor, Louisa first learned to sail on Nantucket in the Mates class at the Nantucket Yacht Club when she was five years old. She went on to race 420s, coach Opti sailors, and later captain the Bowdoin College Sailing Team, where she was named an All-American Crew. These days, she can often be found sailing her restored 1969 Rhodes 19, Desperado, alongside her boyfriend Connor and their dog Bruno.
Louisa’s connection to the island’s sailing traditions runs deep, she still checks the wind on her daily drive past the harbor and plans her next day on the water. Her goal at NCS is to help the organization grow and evolve while staying true to its mission, using innovation and technology to make sailing more accessible and exciting for the Nantucket community.
