Madisyn Richards is a harm reductionist and community health advocate with a background in nursing and a Psychology degree from Kent State University. She works at CompDrug, providing naloxone distribution and overdose response training, and is deeply committed to reducing overdose deaths through education, advocacy, and direct support.

Her dedication is shaped by personal experience, including the loss of a partner to overdose and her own recovery journey. Madisyn previously worked as an ICU tech during the COVID-19 pandemic, which deepened her commitment to compassionate, non-abstinence-based care. Outside of work, she volunteers with grassroots harm reduction groups and supports festivalgoers as part of Insomniac’s Ground Control team.
