I hope this email finds you well. My name is Madison Sullivan a PA student at LEC and I am here to share exciting news! Lake Erie College in Painesville Ohio will be putting on its 2nd Annual “Fall into Health and Wellness” Fair! This event is a community initiative to help provide free and accessible health care to those who need it most. Our goal is to help bridge the health care gaps in Lake County specifically to minorities, low income, and underserved populations. Participants will have free access to dental care, physical screenings, behavioral health services, eye exams, STD testing, bone scans, mammograms and so much more!

I am a student in the Physician Assistant Student program at the college and the creator/director of this event. This entire event is student driven and student run, the physician assistant classes will come together to help the vendors who attend to provide services to the patients. We had our first inaugural event last year and with the help of 50 community vendors we helped serve 150 members of the community. In total we ran the event for 5 hours and provided over $60,000 in health care services, food and other take home items. This year we are back to do it again, but even BIGGER and BETTER if that’s possible! Our goal this year is to serve at least 200 members of the community and offer even more comprehensive goods and services.
