Hi! My name is Madison, and my husband and I founded the madro pickleball club last September after relocating from Los Angeles to Philadelphia. As we settled into our new city, we were eager to find a community that brought people together through pickleball, social connection, and exploring Philadelphia. When we couldn’t find one, we decided to create it ourselves. Since moving here, we’ve also launched the madro social club and the madro wellness club.

This May, I founded the madro foundation — an extension of both personal passion and professional purpose. As a Black woman and an aspiring neonatal nurse practitioner, I have witnessed firsthand the devastating racial disparities that persist in maternal and infant health outcomes in this country. These inequities are not just statistics; they are lived realities for far too many families, particularly within Black and minority communities.
