We Are Rare
I am a 52-year-old woman, international business executive, patient advocate, dog mom, and someone living every day with multiple rare diseases. My journey includes living with Fabry Disease, CMT, and neuropathy — conditions that affect me physically in ways most people cannot see. But I made a decision early on: my diagnosis would never become the definition of my life.
I believe deeply in the importance of continuing to move, grow, travel, work, exercise, care for your mental health, and show up for yourself despite the challenges life places in front of you. Not because it is easy — but because giving up on yourself slowly destroys you emotionally long before any disease does physically.
For years, I built my career in a demanding, male-dominated international business environment while quietly navigating chronic pain, fatigue, medical appointments, and the emotional impact of rare disease. Most people never knew the level of effort it took for me to simply keep showing up with professionalism, strength, and a smile.
Today, I use my voice to advocate for awareness, resilience, mental health, women’s empowerment, and the reality of living with invisible illnesses. I want people — especially women — to understand that strength does not always look loud. Sometimes strength is simply getting up, putting yourself together, continuing to dream, and refusing to disappear because of a diagnosis.
I am passionate about partnering with brands that align with authenticity, wellness, beauty, empowerment, mental health, fitness, travel, self-care, resilience, and advocacy. I believe storytelling creates connection, and connection creates impact.
As someone who represents not only women over 50, but also the rare disease and chronic illness community, I hope to collaborate with brands that want to inspire people to continue living fully, confidently, and unapologetically — even in the middle of difficult journeys.
Because life does not stop after a diagnosis. And neither should we.
