I work with the YMCA of San Diego County’s overnight camps, where we’re passionate about creating life-changing experiences for youth through outdoor education. Every year, we serve thousands of campers, helping them build confidence, form meaningful connections, and grow through time spent in nature.
At the heart of what we do is a simple belief: every child deserves the opportunity to go to camp. We’re committed to breaking down financial barriers so more kids can access these experiences, and we actively partner with schools and communities across California to expand that impact. Through our programs, campers not only explore the outdoors, but also develop social-emotional skills, environmental awareness, and a sense of belonging.
A big part of my work is helping ensure we can continue to grow access, connecting with partners, building support, and finding creative ways to send as many kids to camp as possible.
We’re always looking to connect with partners who share this commitment. We’re currently seeking sponsors and in-kind partners to help offset event costs, allowing every dollar raised to directly support our programs and the communities we serve.
