Project Refit is a New Jersey non-profit serving veterans, first
responders, and their families. Our mission is simple yet profound:
to combat isolation. Connection is key to healing, and we work
tirelessly to create a pathway from outreach to community
connection.
Project Refit offers a comprehensive program to break down the
barriers that isolate individuals. We created a unique program that
conducts direct outreach and a retreat program to send our
participants to heal called Healing Retreats. Here they are
surrounded by those who understand their unique challenges.
Our retreats bring together small groups of 10-12 active duty,
veterans, and first responders in a safe and secluded setting. They
share their stories and truths with no judgment. This powerful
experience fosters accountability, builds camaraderie, and
promotes healing.
