Hi, I’m Ryan Hancock, and I serve as the Director for the Austin Performance Scholarship Foundation. In this role, I help lead fundraising efforts that directly support young athletes by providing financial assistance, scholarships, and opportunities that make volleyball accessible to more families in our community.

My responsibilities include organizing and promoting fundraising events, building relationships with local businesses and sponsors, and coordinating with our foundation leadership to ensure our mission is clearly communicated. A major part of my role is helping donors understand exactly where their contributions go and how their generosity makes a real, measurable impact on the athletes we serve.

Our Mission
The Austin Performance Scholarship Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, exists to ensure that every young woman has the opportunity to participate in competitive club volleyball—regardless of financial circumstance.

A scholarship program of Austin Performance Volleyball, we are committed to developing athletes not only in sport, but in life. Our program fosters confidence, discipline, leadership, and resilience—qualities that extend far beyond the court and into future careers, families, and communities.

Why We Exist
For many families, the cost of club volleyball can be a significant barrier. Behind every scholarship is a family navigating real challenges:

Single-income households
Job loss or sudden financial hardship
Families receiving government assistance or food support
Unexpected medical or life circumstances
These situations should never prevent a dedicated athlete from pursuing her passion, developing her skills, and being part of a team. Our foundation exists to bridge that gap—ensuring that no athlete is left behind due to financial hardship.

Our Commitment: 100% Goes to Athletes in Need
We are committed to complete transparency and integrity:

100% of funds raised go directly to scholarships
No funds are used for recruiting or operations
Zero administrative costs – every dollar donated supports families facing
financial hardship
When you give, you are directly funding an athlete’s opportunity to participate.

Our Impact
For the 2026 season, 28 athletes received scholarships through a combination of the Austin Performance Scholarship Foundation, the LOVB Foundation, and Austin Performance Volleyball, totaling $107,071 in direct financial support.

Through the generosity of our community, we are able to:

Provide scholarships that offset club volleyball costs
Support athletes during times of financial uncertainty
Keep players engaged in a positive, structured environment
Help young women grow into confident, capable leaders
Established in 2025, the Foundation is growing rapidly. Our goal is to support 50 athletes annually by 2027.
