The Havel Volunteer League is a dedicated community organization committed to supporting Havel Elementary School, a Title I school serving students and families in Sterling Heights, Macomb County, Michigan. Our passionate group of volunteers recognizes that Title I schools face unique challenges, with many students coming from low-income households that lack the resources typically available in more affluent districts.
Our mission is simple: bridge the gap between need and opportunity for our students, teachers, and families. We work tirelessly to provide essential support that goes beyond what limited school budgets can cover - from classroom supplies and educational materials to teacher appreciation initiatives and family support programs.
As volunteers in Macomb County, we understand the specific needs of our local community. We organize fundraisers, coordinate donation drives, and establish partnerships with local businesses to ensure our teachers have the tools they need and our students have access to enriching experiences that might otherwise be out of reach.
