Sheila Garcia has more than 20 years experience in team management & the events, marketing, & social media space. After her 10 year career in radio she worked at the San Antonio Food Bank and then worked as a Marketing Team Leader at Whole Foods Market for 3 years, in San Antonio and ending at the flagship store in Austin.  Realizing she wanted to be a part of a small business and support its’ growth, she focused on the craft brewing industry.  Sheila worked at Hops & Grain Brewing for 4 years rising to Chief Communications Officer.  She joined the Hold Out Brewing team in August 2019 and helped open it in May 2020, joining the many small businesses that found themselves opening during the pandemic.  In May 2021, Sheila joined the team at Austin Beerworks as their first Director of Hospitality/General Manager.  During her time at Hold Out Brewing and Austin Beerworks she was both appointed and elected to serve on the board of the Texas Craft Brewers Guild. In December 2023, she join the staff full time of the Texas Craft Brewers Guild as the Education & Events Manager. With almost a decade of working for specific breweries, she know gets to spread her support and knowledge to the over 300 brewery members within the Guild.
