We’re University of Maryland students working toward one goal: creating stability for youth in foster care. Infants, children, and youth entering, moving through, or exiting care face a level of adversity most will never have to consider. Through direct service, philanthropy, and advocacy, it is our mission to meet their immediate needs while investing in their long-term success. We know that connection, along with consistent support in areas like education, housing, and healthcare, is what makes the difference between a child who feels forgotten and one who feels fought for.
TFF held its first event in December 2024, just months after our January 2024 founding. AY 2024-25 was a partial year as we built our foundation. Giving Project
70 gifts and $1,050 raised in AY 2024-25 grew to 100 gifts and $1,500 raised in AY 2025-26, over 40% growth in a single year.

Flower Sale
Our 2025 flower sale netted $881 in profit, funding three Dell laptops for youth pursuing a higher education.

Comfort Cases
Backpacks packed for youth entering care doubled, from 30 in AY 2024-25 to 60 in AY 2025-26, giving more kids a sense of dignity on one of the hardest days of their lives.

Speaker Series (AY 2025-26)
Members heard directly from leaders in the field, including Maryland Supreme Court Justice Angela Eaves, Comfort Cases founder Rob Scheer, and CINA attorney Richard Perry.

Christmas for Kids in D.C. (AY 2025-26)
30 TFF members supported FAPAC’s holiday event, helping reunite 200 siblings separated by the foster care system.

Pinwheels for Prevention (AY 2025-26)
For National Child Abuse Prevention Month, 60 TFF members and partners planted over 600 pinwheels and raised $250 for Prevent Child Abuse America.

The Summit (AY 2025-26)
TFF hosted FAPAC’s day-long mentorship workshop, with 8 members leading a campus tour for 30 youth aging out of care and their mentors.
