The Hobby Hour is a Latina-owned community dedicated to bringing people together through creativity, connection, and supporting local businesses.

Founded in March 2026, we host monthly DIY events throughout the Chicagoland area where adults (21+) can step away from their daily routines, try something new, and meet people in a fun, welcoming environment. Every event is designed to make creativity accessible, whether you're a seasoned crafter or picking up a hobby for the very first time.

Our events typically welcome around 40 attendees and continue to grow each month. Beyond our in-person experiences, we've built an engaged online community with more than 3,400 followers on TikTok and 500+ followers on Instagram, where we share event highlights, behind-the-scenes moments, DIY inspiration, and local business spotlights.

As Latinas, creating spaces where everyone feels included, inspired, and connected is at the heart of everything we do. We believe hobbies have the power to build friendships, reduce stress, and strengthen communities.

We're proud to collaborate with local businesses and partner with brands that value creativity, self-care, and community. Through our events and social media, we love introducing our attendees to products and businesses that enhance their experience while creating meaningful exposure for our partners.
