At The StoreHouse, we believe in empowering communities through access to fresh, nutritious food. As a 15-year stroke survivor, our founder's vision embodies resilience and care, aiming to free people from the grips of hunger and inspire purpose in women. Our mission extends beyond feeding; it's about nourishing bodies and souls, fostering a healthier, stronger community. At The StoreHouse, we are more than just a food distribution center; we are a beacon of hope and a pillar of support for our community. Our mission is rooted in compassion, and our goal is to make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.

Founded to combat food insecurity, we serve approximately 6,000 families monthly and have distributed over 5 million pounds of free food to date across the DMV area and reaching Columbia, SC. Beyond food, The StoreHouse provides essential resources such as toiletries, diapers, and hosts educational workshops on nutrition. These initiatives empower families to thrive beyond immediate hunger relief, promoting holistic well-being.

Safe Summer Initiatives: Includes activities like our Basketball Tournament, designed to engage youth in positive activities and ensure a safe, active summer.
Back to School Bash: Supporting students with school supplies and bookbags, having served over 4,700 students in the past three years.
Turkey Giveaway: An annual event providing Thanksgiving turkeys and essentials to families in need.
Toy Giveaway: Bringing joy to children during the holiday season with toys and gifts.
