My name is Tom Batrouney!

My life is insane but good insane! My day job at Seabin is incredibly difficult, confronting, stressful, frustrating but also hardly ever feels like work because I love it so much. My running career is something I love and hate because running is so important and I have 192,674,302 reasons why I love it and think it can save the world but also because 'just' being a professional runner is something that scares me when thinking about the small amount of positive impact that alone can have on people and planet.

So I exist in a grey area and always have where I wear multiple hats, doing multiple things with my time and energy but all under the same banner of building community, promoting being outside, in nature, falling in love with it and then, maybe, wanting to do whatever you can to protect it. Whatever that means to you.

People are so interested in my life it's wild and I try to share what I can on social media @tombatrouney but it has been wearing away at me for a while that I can do it better and that social media is not the best platform. Then, a month ago a YouTube angel came into my life via DM, who has worked for them for 8 years. Her role is to find, nurture and mentor creators while making sure she focuses on minority topics. She is on maternity leave for 6 months and is keen to mentor me as she thinks what I do would go really well on the platform.

I'm basically asking her for the cheat codes on how to crack YouTube, feed the algorithm, get as many eyeballs as possible and to get paid so that I can create funds to be donated to environmental groups/ projects. I will share the journey of my life but also the actual process of creating the funds with my audience bringing them along for the ride.

How do I see the channel looking? I have one laying dormant which I just made for my most recent personal run project PROJECT: RUN FOREVER but I can share more on a call or in person.
