I’m Vanessa Lherisson, founder of BlackGirlYoga, owner of The Zen Lounge Yoga and Wellness Studio in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, and a yoga and Pilates instructor. My work centers around creating spaces and experiences that help people slow down, reconnect, and feel more at home in their bodies.

I opened The Zen Lounge as a sanctuary, a place where movement, breath, and community come together to offer a true reset from the pace of everyday life. That same intention carries into BlackGirlYoga, where I’m committed to creating inclusive, empowering spaces for women to explore yoga and holistic wellness in a way that feels accessible, grounded, and real.

Whether I’m teaching, curating experiences, or building community, everything I do is rooted in helping people move with more intention, find balance, and feel more at ease in their lives.
