ZGiRLS, founded in 2014 by Olympic and NCAA athletes, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that equips girls ages 11–14 with the tools and perspective to be confident, centered, and courageous during one of the most critical stages of their development. By age 14, girls are 27% less confident than boys, and we exist to help change that trajectory.
Our evidence-based curriculum and programs, developed with mental health professionals, teach girls skills like self-worth, resilience, growth mindset, and self-advocacy through programs led by Olympic and professional female athletes. We also equip parents, educators, coaches, and community organizations with the tools to reinforce those same skills, because confidence is built through the consistent messages girls receive from the adults around them.
